A Heathcote man has been charged with-drink driving while his toddler, 16 months, was in the car.
Sutherland police stopped the man, 25, in his red Ford Festiva outside a hotel in Boyle Street, Sutherland, just before 9.30pm on Saturday night.
He was given a roadside breath test which returned a positive result, police said.
The man was arrested and taken to Sutherland police station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.106.
He was given a court attendance notice for mid-range PCA and had his licence suspended.
The man will appear in Sutherland Local Court on June 27.
The child was placed in the care of another relative.
