KALEVU Restaurant at Sylvania launches a new menu on Father's Day, Sunday, September 1.
It will coincide with a Kalevu Facebook campaign offering a free glass of wine to clients.
Owner Luc Dumoulin's menu includes a little bit of everything including touches of French and Greek, Dutch and Australian.
Standout items on the new menu include a two-course seafood dish on Tuesdays while keeping the popular "Shanks and Shiraz" $24 special on Thursday nights.
The seafood special is also $24 and begins with an entree of salt and pepper squid with spicy aioli followed by a mixed seafood plate.
Kalevu's entrees include veal roulade with mint and haloumi, tuna aioli, and Serrano ham, scallops with coriander butter and chorizo sausage, or crispy, fragrant baby quail with barbecue corn and watercress.
Meat lovers will enjoy a 250-gram eye fillet steak served with with onion puree, cafe de Paris butter, potato pave and asparagus.
One of Kalevu's most popular menu items, twice-cooked duck, is served with cauliflower puree, and braised fennel salad.
Also popular is the slow roasted lamb with feta and mint served Greek style with skordalia and tzatziki.
Desserts include a trio of gelato served in a homemade cone and dark chocolate brulee with pistachio gelato.
Kalevu which has been described as "a hidden gem in the Sutherland Shire" is also beginning to be a popular rendezvous for functions.
