Our family would like to sincerely thank these kind and wonderful people, Angela Roberto of Penshurst and Maureen and Steve Gunn of Beverly Hills, who stopped their cars in Penshurst Street, Penshurst, when they saw our brother, John Burke, collapse onto the footpath on Sunday, April 13.
They tried to help John, gave him CPR and called the ambulance and police, but sadly John did not make it.
We are so grateful that good people still exist in our world and our dear John had someone with him, when he passed.
Some other people also tried to help but their names are unknown; our thanks go to them as well.
We would also like to thank the ambulance paramedics, Detective Natasha Telfer of Kogarah police and Constable Andrew Bruce of Hurstville police, and their colleagues, for their comfort and help during this very distressing time.
More praise and recognition needs to go to the selfless people, who give of themselves, when they see someone in need, instead of just passing by and not getting involved.
They have our eternal thanks for their efforts.
