KERRY Bray has been recognised by the Australian Red Cross Blood Service for her contribution of 550 blood donations.
Ms Bray, of Cronulla, and 54 other Sutherland Shire residents, will be presented with awards during National Blood Donor Week (July 27-August 3).
Each donation can be used by three people, meaning Ms Bray has saved 1650 lives.
"My motivation for donating was on account of my mum receiving numerous donations of blood throughout many years," she said.
"This was a tiny way of repaying this amazing gift to her.
"The thought of helping others inspires me to keep returning — for all who may have considered donating, why not make it during Blood Donor Week."
Blood Service spokeswoman Annie Curtis said recipients of the life-saving donations included new mothers, cancer patients and those undergoing emergency surgery.
