Owner Helen Louise Osborne said that as the longest-serving single tenant she was excited about the new development.
Helen Louise Salons managing director Phil Osborne said they had been trading from the new Kareela store for just over a week.
"It is wonderful — everything is new and glam," he said.
"The customers love it and the staff are rapt."
Mr Osborne said 2014 was the year of combining "new and improved with old-fashioned service".
"We'd like to say thank you to the clients who have shown extreme patience during the many disruptions that have occurred since the construction started," he said.
The salon is on level one next to the new multi-storey car park.
