Host national Scotland ended Australia’s hopes of gold on Friday morning – winning a semi-final 15-10.
Wilkie, Flapper, Nathan Rice and Wayne Ruediger progressed to the last four with a 19-14 victory over Wales in a quarter final on Thursday night.
Australia dominated Wales early, leading 15-6 after nine ends.
That changed quickly with the Welsh getting within one shot at 15-14 after 13 ends.
The Aussies stood firm though with two shots on each of the last two ends.
Scotland made all the running in the quarter final - leading 7-1 and then 14-5.
This is Flapper’s second crack at a medal in Glasgow.
He lost a bronze medal match in the men’s triples.
BADMINTON
Jeff Tho’s campaign is unfortunately over.
He lost to India’s Kashyap Parupalli 21-7 21-8 in a round of 16 men's singles match on Thursday night.
