About 60 people were evacuated from a Kingsgrove apartment block Sunday night after fire destroyed the Cheeky Chooks Lebanese Charcoal Chicken shop.
St George police are treating the fire as suspicious and still investigating possible bikie gang links.
Emergency services were called to the Kingsgrove Road business, opposite the Kingsgrove Hotel, just before 2.45am.
Neighbouring shops, and the units above, were affected with residents evacuated because of heavy smoke.
Kingsgrove Road was closed in both directions this morning and has since been re-opened.
Police would not say whether this fire was related to the drive-by shooting at the shop on Thursday August 28, but ''investigations were continuing''.
They said two men, wearing all-black clothing, were seen nearby.
A short time later a 2008-model Audi station wagon was found with partial fire damage in a nearby street. Officers also recovered firearms from inside the vehicle.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
