Nice day at Narwee for a cold drenching in the Ice Bucket Challenge
Narwee Public School teachers Matthew Lennon and Adrian Vaccaro (above) recently braved a cold drenching as part of the global Ice Bucket Challenge.
The challenge raises awareness of motor neurone disease and money. Each day in Australia two people are diagnosed with the disease, for which there is no cure of effective treatment.
The school organised the event to coincide with its ‘‘acknowledgement day’’. Pupils donated a gold coin to the cause and raised almost $900.
