THESE are three talented Sutherland Shire Football Association women players scoring goals in their sport's top competition in the nation: W-League.
Grace Henry, 19, of Grays Point; Jordan Baker, 17, of Gymea and Demi Koulizakis, 16, of Monterey are members of the Western Sydney Wanderers team.
The W-League season is well under way and the Wanderers lost 2-0 on Sunday at their round four clash against Sydney FC at Marconi Stadium.
Despite not being able to defeat their cross-town "big sister" rival, the local trio are making their mark in W-League.
The teenagers said coming from the Sutherland Shire football set-up is a goal for other players who aspire to make it into W-League.
"One of my goals is one day to play for the national team, the Matildas," Jordan Baker said.
Grace Henry said she was appreciative of the opportunity she has had to reach W-League.
"Playing for Matildas is one of my goals too," she said.
Koulizakis said being a part of the Wanderers made her proud to play in W-League.
She also said playing for the Matildas and making a World Cup was an ambition.
Sutherland Shire Football Association general manager Jeff Stewart said the players had been consistent footballers in their representative teams.
He said Koulizakis, represented Sutherland Shire FA in the Women's Premier League from 2009 until 2012.
"Demi was scored 26 goals as a Sutherland under-14s player and was player of the year in 2012," Stewart said.
Stewart said Jordan Baker, originally from Gymea United FC Club, represented Sutherland Shire FA in the Women's Premier League in 2007-2011.
"She is a skilful attacking player," Stewart said. "Grace Henry, originally from Grays Point Club, represented Sutherland Shire FA in the Women's Premier League in 2006-2009.
"Grace is a talented defender and Sutherland junior who reads the game especially well."
