Areas that are generally off-limits to the public will be open for tours led by clinicians at 10am, noon and 2pm.
Visitors can take a sneak peak at the operating theatres, children's ward and rehabilitation gymnasium.
There will also be a photographic exhibition and video showing the history of the hospital.
Carnival rides, pony rides, face-painting, balloon animals, arm plastering, an Assistance Dogs display, Devonshire teas and barbecue are among the activities on offer.
The hospital opened in 1958 but fund-raising for its construction began with the establishment of its first auxiliary in 1944.
About 98 per cent of patients live in the area.
The hospital's director of operations Cath Whitehurst said it continued to benefit from strong community support through volunteering and community donations.
