Saints won their opening two games impressively but came back to earth against Easts, losing on first innings.
Saints made 172 and Easts responded with 3(dec)-290 to win comfortably. In their second innings, Saints, were 1-43 at stumps.
St George Cricket Club president Kevin Greene said they were outplayed in the match.
Greene said the club was hoping injured fast bowler Trent Copeland would play.
Copeland has back stress fractures.
"Trent can only play as a batsman until his back heals then he can resume bowling," Greene said.
In round four, Saints play Bankstown on Saturday at Bankstown Oval.
Play starts at 10.30am.
Though firsts lost, the Saints enjoyed success in second grade with fast bowler Eric Denhartog taking 4-52 and Liam Gough took, 4-22, in their first innings victory over Easts.
Saints made 227 and Easts were dismissed for 142.
Third and fifth grades drew against Easts and fourth grade lost.
