Shoppers should be thankful for three hour free parking at Westfield Miranda

I really do not understand what all the fuss is about. If I go to the city or to Bondi Junction and park, the meter starts ticking as soon as the boom gate goes up. At least at Miranda you get three hours a day to park for free, and then it's only the price of a mug of coffee for an extra hour. People should get some perspective. Residents' parking permits within a 700-metre radius of the centre sounds like a good idea.
