RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS - lift appreciated and thanks to diners who paid bill

I would like to acknowledge Sue, a kind lady who offered to drive me home when she overheard me saying I had missed the bus from Jannali to Oyster Bay. I had already walked from Sutherland and it was raining, so I gratefully accepted. Sue told me she'd had chemotherapy the previous day and she would not feel well enough to drive the following day. I would like to thank her for her kindness.

Tears were joyful

I want to share an incredible experience that happened on New Year's Eve. I was dining with my son at the Italian Kitchen at Miranda. I went to pay the bill only to find that a couple we had never met had paid the bill for us. We think their name was McManus. To these beautiful people - thank you — you have given us a wonderful start to the year through your incredible generosity. I was overcome by the gesture these people made, and as we walked home tears fell most of the way.
