SUTHERLAND Shire SES has responded to 40 calls for help over the past several days of wet weather.

Most requests were to attend to leaky roofs and remove fallen trees.
But Hurstville SES local controller Scott Davis said they had not received any calls for help.
"Gentle rain like we've had isn't too much of a problem, it's only when we see the wind come up that we have issues with trees down," he said.
By Wednesday, Sydney had received 59 millimetres of rain in the 24 hours since Tuesday.
Cronulla received 36 millimetres on Tuesday; Peakhurst received 19 millimetres.
Motorists are advised to be cautious as flooding has been reported on the Princes Highway near Holbeach Avenue, Tempe.
Audley Weir was closed yesterday in both directions.
The weekend is forecast to be drier.
