Rebels MC Australia members attend Bendigo funeral

ABOUT 140 Rebels Motorcycle Club Australia members drove their motorbikes through Bendigo following a funeral service in Strathdale today.

The members attended a thanksgiving service this morning in Crook Street, Kennington to honour the life of Nicholas Stuart 'Batty' Day.

After the service a funeral cortege travelled to the Eaglehawk Cemetery.

Eight police cars were present during the procession from Kennington to Eaglehawk. 

Bendigo Sergeant Peter Beaman said police were involved to ensure public safety.
