FOR a school holiday adventure through an exotic location in the heart of the shire, look no further than Putt Planet.
The indoor mini-golf course is based on the town of Mombasa in Kenya.
Owner and manager Genelle Griffin said the journey began when visitors left the shire and entered a near life-sized aircraft before disembarking in "Kenya".
"The 18-hole course is not always traditional holes in the ground," she said.
"We have made it more interesting and challenging for nearly any age.
"The holes include putting up ramps, into a suitcase, through underground pipes and even through an old street, sewer and fountain."
Putt Planet is a completely wheelchair accessible course, which enables prams and walking frames to go through too.
"We believe it is important for the whole family to have time together," Ms Griffin said.
"We are especially known for our caring staff, well organised parties which are stress free for parents, attention to special requirements and kids just love the fun of Putt Planet.
"There is so much detail to take in."
Putt Planet is an ideal location for parties, team building or other group events,
"Putt Planet is about getting a great understanding of the global community we live in by experiencing a little bit of Africa here at home," Ms Griffin said.
"You can come in for a game and then come back for a second any time on the same day for half price (last tee-off being at 9pm). Putt Planet looks different from the day to the night."
Putt Planet is open 10am-10pm. Groups of 12 or more can receive 10 per cent discount, bookings for 12 or more people are essential.
