Young ‘‘pirates’’ have been given another opportunity to tour Notorious at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Port Hacking.
The ship would be docked at the yacht club until April 14, said co-owner Felicite Wylie from Victoria.
Visitors will be able to tour the ‘‘pirate ship’’ from 10am to 5pm from this Thursday until Sunday.
‘‘Port Hacking has become a favourite stopover for us,’’ Mrs Wylie said.
Notorious, constructed to actual size, was built by Mrs Wylie’s husband Graeme, and is the only recreation of a 1480s Portuguese caraval ship in the southern hemisphere.
If weather permits, it will be back in Port Hacking in September to be used by Miranda Public School pupils as a filming location for the Film by the Sea student film festival.
Caravals were the ship of choice for early explorers such as Christopher Columbus — and for pirates.
