NORTH Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club will celebrate its 90th anniversary reunion with a series of celebrations this Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3.
The first clubhouse opened in 1926, the second in 1932, the third in 1937 and the current premises in 1950.
Club patron and life member Warren Rennie said the club, which had 1200 members, had a rich and illustrious history.
The Cameron family — patriach and life member Allan Cameron, 91, his wife and life member, Shirley Cameron, 89, their son, Stewart Cameron, 61, and his son, Curtis, 14 — represent three generations at the club.
Allan Cameron is the club's historian, a man with an encyclopedic knowledge of its history.
"We have many generations of families at the club," Rennie said.
A luncheon — A Shade of Blue, A Touch of Gold — will be held at 1pm on May 2, and the Looking to the Centennial function will be at 4pm.
Another club function will begin at noon on May 3.
