Calvary Bereavement Counselling Service will hold a workshop at Kogarah on Saturday, August 15, for people who have lost a loved one.
The workshop will show people how to make a memory box to keep photos, letters, memorabilia, and other personal items.
Counsellors Chris McCabe and Dr Sarah Visser will run the workshop.
Most art materials will be provided and no artistic experience is necessary.
Ms McCabe described the workshop as a safe space in which people could use their creativity ‘‘to honour the person that has died’’.
Dr Visser said a memory box did not have to be a box; it can be any hollow object, such as a shadow box frame.
Registrations close Thursday, August 5.
Cost is $10.
