JASON Nightingale and his St George Illawarra teammates won't be gazing into the rear vision mirror for the rest of the year.
They are now looking ahead, says Dragons international winger Jason Nightingale.
The eighth-placed Dragons (26 points) meet 14th-placed Wests Tigers, (20 points), on Saturday at ANZ Stadium at 5.30pm.
The Tigers thrashed the hapless New Zealand Warriors 50-16 on Sunday at Campbelltown, with their skipper Robbie Farah leading the way.
Farah has been told by coach Jason Taylor that despite having two years left on his contract it's time for the NSW hooker to move on.
Nightingale respects the fact the Tigers want to finish 2015 on a winning note.
"We're focused on playing against the Wests Tigers and making the finals," Nightingale told the Leader.
"They were good against the Warriors with Robbie Farah playing well."
Nightingale said it was a disappointing performance against the Titans.
"We didn't play that well in the first half but we were in control leading 20-12 at half-time," he said.
"In the second half we didn't do the things we planned to do.
"But we're focused on playing against the Wests Tigers.
"We don't won't to be making up the numbers in the finals."
Nightingale said halves Benji Marshall and Gareth Widdop had been outstanding all season.
"It's up to the rest of the team to help them out," Nightingale said.
The Kiwi Test winger was playing his first game in three weeks against the Titans, overcoming a foot injury.
"I had a few defensive lapses and want to play a lot better this week," he said.
Nightingale, nicknamed "Gypsy", said winning the match and cementing eighth spot to finish the premiership rounds on 28 points is their goal.
Dragons coach Paul McGregor has named a 19-man squad with Eto Nabuli selected on the wing and second rower Joel Thompson (hamstring tear) not considered for selection.
