MEN of League Foundation members and former Cronulla Sharks players Ben Ross and Stewart Raper are among those taking part in the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation Golf Day on Monday, November 9, at Cronulla Golf Club.
Tynan Motors have donated a Jeep Wrangler as the hole-in-one prize.
The golf day raises about $10,000 each year for ground-breaking research at St George and Sutherland hospitals.
It is organised by Michael Lehner, principal of Chat Financial Planning at Kogarah.
Since its formation in 2007, the foundation has delivered more than $1 million in research projects.
Funds have been raised through community events such as the golf day and the Brighton Dash and also corporate donations.
Bluestone Property Group is a sponsor of the golf day. It is developing Woolooware Bay with the Sharks.
“Being able to contribute to our local community is a key principle for Bluestone and Woolooware Bay. This is a fantastic cause that makes a difference in so many lives, and we’re very happy to get behind it,” Bluestone managing director, Ben Fairfax said.
Tickets to the golf day cost $125 (including the game, refreshments, brunch and dinner).
