Council planning fears

At this time of the year, I am busy thinking of Christmas and the presents to buy, of visitors and celebrations and going on holidays with my family.

I am positive many other Kogarah residents are thinking exactly the same.

So why do I have a sneaking suspicion that Kogarah Council will try to push this flawed New City Plan — at a meeting they may hold over this holiday period — into the new year so they can get it approved.

The same flawed New City Plan that residents have overwhelmingly been against, as demonstrated by polls and meetings.

That same flawed New City Plan that councillors have been silent about, except for the council's unelected senior public servants, who don't even live within the Kogarah area.

I hope I am wrong.

But I guess that only time will tell.
