Angus Cunningham has already fought cancer twice in the past two years. Now his family is doing everything in its power to ensure he does not have to battle it again.

Angus, 12, of Caringbah South, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2013 after lumps were discovered in his neck. After it recurred this year, he embarked on a gruelling round of treatment that included chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a stem cell transplant.
Now his best chance of stopping the cancer recurring again rests with an expensive drug, which the family has been told they need to fund themselves.
They have joined forces with a charity, Rare Cancers Australia, to raise the money needed for Angus’s treatment, which would usually cost $187,000.
Angus’s mum Trisha Cunningham said: ‘‘The whole process [of cancer treatment] is dreadful. You don’t want any child to go through it’’.
