French chef David Bitton to tantalise Oatley tastebuds

Bitton Oatley will open its doors next month after extensive renovations to its premises.

Chef and owner David Bitton says he is super excited about the move. 

‘‘I feel that the timing is perfect, the site is ideal and I cannot wait to build another community-driven business in this suburb so close to where my wife and business partner, Sohani grew up,’’ David said. 

Open seven days a week, the cafe, bistro and functions room will trade with the same French-inspired menus that have been enjoyed by dedicated Bitton customers since the very beginning. 

‘‘We understand that Oatley is very different from Alexandria but we feel strongly that Bitton will add value to their already strong community,’’ he said.

The new site will see all the attractions synonymous with the original flagship café.

There will be a child-friendly atmosphere including a purpose-built play area and kids menus, trained baristas serving Grinders coffee quickly, seasonal menus, a carefully selected wine list with local and imported wines and a display of the Bitton product range.

The signature Bitton service, driven by David himself, who can often be seen in the café meeting and greeting guests and ensuring they have anything they need, will also be a hallmark of the new cafe.

The new Oatley site boasts a huge outdoor area that will be landscaped to suit functions of all types.

The front of the building has a lovely homely feel that is in keeping with the Bitton philosophy ‘‘five star gourmet at café prices in a friendly atmosphere’’. 

With plenty of on street parking and being close to the main strip of shops, Bitton is perfectly positioned to become an integral part of Oatley daily life.

Bitton Oatley will open in April at 119A Mulga Road, Oatley.
