A special event has been organised this weekend to raise funds to assist people living with epilepsy.

The “What a day to SHINE for Epilepsy” fete is being held in support of National Purple Day which aims to raise awareness of epilepsy. Beginning in 2008, people are encouraged to wear a purple-coloured item of clothing on March 26.
The fete was made possible by a small individual project grant that Paul Roadley was successful in gaining as part of the My Choice Matters, NSW Consumer Development Fund ‘Run Projects’ initiative.
Mr Roadley said his project was focused on raising awareness in the community about people living with disability and also to help people with disabilities to have a better life.
The What a day to Shine for Epilepsy fete will be held on Saturday, March 26 from 12:30pm to 4pm at the Endeavour Room, Miranda Community Centre, 93 Karimbla Road, Miranda.
