Caringbah journalist Graeme Cole has been presented with the 2016 Gutenberg Award by the Australasian Religious Press Association.

Mr Cole, the public affairs manager of Wesley Mission, coordinates media and government relations and is the editor of Wesley Impact magazine,
The Gutenberg Award, which is presented annually to a Christian media organisation or individual, is the premier award of the association, which represents more than 150 publications and members in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
Association president Peter Bentley said Mr Cole had provided nearly 30 years of ministry in Christian media and communication.
Mr Cole had served as director of communications for Anglicare NSW, national public affairs manager for Frontier Services and, since 2001, as public affairs manager for Wesley Mission.
Mr Bentley said these roles had involved extensive writing, preparing annual reports, strategic development and oversight of numerous internal newsletters and publications, associated editing, writing, reviewing and constant liaison.
He said Mr Cole had won 16 Australasian Religious Press Association awards in a wide range of categories, testifying to his ability to manage a variety of roles.
“In essence, Graeme exemplifies the best of Christian reporting, grounded in a commitment to justice and truth and founded in personal integrity,” he said.
