Kingsgrove RSL Club will unveil its $4 million renovation at the club’s grand re-opening on Sunday, November 6.

The renovations place more emphasis on the cafe and dining experiences within the club while improving the gaming and function facilities.
Renovations began in January 2016 with the first completed area being the old sports bar into the new Diggers Lounge, a multi-purpose function facility catering for up to 200 people, complete with start-of-the-art audio equipment, a new lift, flexible seating arrangements with wheelchair access and new toilet amenities.
The second phase involved the development of a new bar, cafe seating 60 and a dining lounge space seating 60 in the existing auditorium.
There is a new kitchen which will increase the club’s dining range with new menus currently being finalised.
The gaming facilities have also been upgraded with the addition of an outdoor gaming space, a new TAB and sports lounge for punters.
The final phase of the renovations will see the finishing touches to the foyer, the car park and the refurbishment of the balcony area providing for an alfresco dining for 30 and a lounge space for patrons to enjoy the serenity of the park.
“The club has obviously been waiting for an upgrade for a few years,” Kingsgrove RSL Club general manager Ian Todd said.
“We listened to our members and and collaborated with our Board of Directors on the renovations and are very pleased to see realisation of the club’s transformation,” he said.
Kingsgrove RSL Club member of more than 30 years, Gay Strike said the renovations have made the club open and welcoming, allowing families more access to spaces and has created better privacy in the poker machine areas.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the renovations will be at 10am, Sunday, November 6, followed at 2pm by a free sausage sizzle, live entertainment and a jumping castle for the kids.
