The Women with Heart and Style on September 27 at Summer Salt restaurant, raised funds for the Heart Foundation.

Simone Collins from Brookes Partners Real Estate hosted the day.
Her husband suffered a heart attack a year ago, and luckily made a full recovery.
“A year on from our experience, I feel that now is the time to talk about it,” she said.
“Heart disease is more common than you think and we need to talk about it more.”
Heart Foundation NSW chief executive officer Kerry Doyle says heart disease does not only affect men.
“It is the single biggest killer of Australian women, but many don’t know they’re at risk,” she said.
“Heart disease takes the lives of 24 women every day.
“Women are three times more likely to die from heart disease than breast cancer, but less than four in ten women are aware of this.
“Heart disease is not always obvious.
“Silent risk factors such as high cholesterol and high blood pressure may have no symptoms and having a heart attack could be the first sign of a serious problem.
“That’s why we have a specific program dedicated to raising awareness among women and educating health professionals about this sometimes overlooked condition.”
