Many Sharks supporters who are not going to the grand final are gearing up for home parties and barbecues.
Bakeries have prepared black, white and blue iced cakes and doughnuts, butcher shops have thousands of extra sausages for barbecues and liquor outlets are doing a roaring trade.
Mac & Me Party Hire at Taren Point is among event businesses that have also are also working overtime to meet demand.
“We have been flat out all week,” said Michelle Evans, who runs the business with her husband Paul, a former Sharks player.
“More than 300 chairs have gone out, our big coolers that can hold 12 cases of beer have been very popular and everyone wants balloons.”
Ms Evans' father, Jim Heffernan, who started the party hire business in 2005, has been helping out.
Shearer’s Cook Bakery at Woolooware has been making Sharks coloured cakes and doughnuts all week.
Baker Jason Pavich, who owns the business with his mother Marise, will be making extra for grand final day.
