A NEW building company on the scene in Wagga Wagga is helping families create energy efficient homes that will help them cut costs well into the future.
Respected builder Daniel Davey recently became the owner of Green Homes Australia Wagga Wagga, and part of a national building franchise specialising in the design and construction of affordable, comfortable, energy efficient homes.
I did some research and came across Green Homes. It is a piece of the market no one does around here.

Daniel has been a licensed builder for four years and had already established his own business, Davey Building and Construction, mainly doing renovations and extensions.
“I was thinking of ways to break into the new home market, but just look around (Brunslea Park) - it’s a fairly busy little area,” Daniel said.
“There is not much point trying to beat them at their own game, so I did some research and came across Green Homes Australia.
“It is a piece of the market no one does around here.”
Green Homes Australia (GHA) homes are designed and built to lower household energy usage, without costing more to build, or sacrificing on comfort or lifestyle.
This advertising feature is supported by the following businesses:
The homes are built for a standard price and may save owners up to 60 per cent on their energy bills each year.
“I get my electricity bill every month and it nearly knocks me over,” Daniel said.
“We don’t have much choice in the matter, anything you can do to minimise your costs you will. The best part is, it is not that difficult.”
GHA has a range of pre-existing designs available, or the company’s designers can help create a custom project that will meet efficiency standards.
GHA Wagga Wagga used Saturday’s Brunslea Park Street Mingle as a forum for its official launch.
The mingle was held in the display village of the residential development, where the street was blocked off and music, stalls and activities were provided for visitors. Building companies were in attendance promoting their display home sand services.
GHA Wagga Wagga’s marquee had promotional material about the business and its house and land packages.
A display home will be built on the corner of Paperbark Crescent and Beech Street in Brunslea Park, in the new year.
“It will be part of the display village,” Daniel said. “It is a perfect block and fits in with our design needs.”
A GHA Wagga Wagga shopfront will be open before Christmas, in Saxon Street.
