Gary Eck is one of Australia’s most versatile comedians.
Apart from his stand-up routines Eck has worked in radio and television and written and directed films and commercials.
He once wrote and directed a commercial for Four Seasons Condoms that got banned but went viral around the world with 20 million plus views - it even made the news on German prime time TV.
His comedy career began more than 20 years ago when he worked in breakfast radio and formed a sketch comedy troop that toured Melbourne and Edinburgh Festivals.
When the short film called The Money, which Eck wrote, acted in and directed, won the world’s largest short film festival, Tropfest, his career took a turn.
After a few more succesful short films, Eck grabbed the attention of Academy award winner George Miller who asked him to write and co-direct Happy Feet Two. Eck also voiced a number of characters for the film.
He will be at the Oatley Hotel on December 7 along with comedian Liz Stephens.
