NEAR DROWNING: A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital after a near drowning in Seven Hills yesterday.
POSSIBLE OVERDOSE: A five-year-old girl is fighting for life in hospital after a possible methadone overdose in Sydney's north-west.

KYRGIOS BOOED: Nick Kyrgios was booed off court after a controversial showing that prompted tennis legend John McEnroe to describe the Australian's performance as a black eye for the sport.
ON THE RISE: Andrew Kneeves has only been playing golf for a year but has already made his first Australian Open. The 10-year-old from Bella Vista was invited to play in the first US Kids Golf Australian Open following great performances in the program’s winter tour events.
FULTON BACK IN TOWN: Former Wests Tigers fan favourite Liam Fulton has a new gig and it’s brought him back where it all started. The 32-year-old retired from the NRL in 2014 but now he’s back in the local rugby league scene – as head coach for the Campbelltown City Kangaroos first grade team.
TWO RESIGN FROM ARLC: Disappointed at the direction the ARLC has taken in the past 18 months, particularly the recent surrender by chairman John Grant to NRL clubs over funding, two of Australia's most prominent businessmen have resigned as commissioners.
