Tasmanian Attorney-General Vanessa Goodwin has been diagnosed with multiple tumours on her brain.

Premier Will Hodgman made the announcement on Saturday morning, after Dr Goodwin was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital on Friday in an “extremely unwell” state.
Mr Hodgman said it was clear that Dr Goodwin would be unable to undertake her government member responsibilities for some months.
He was take on the role of Attorney General, Justice Minister, Corrections Minister, and Arts Minister in her absence.
“This is very distressing news for all those who work with her, and who know her,” Mr Hodgman said.
“Vanessa is a warm-hearted, hard working and highly respected member of the community.
“[She] will remain very much in our thoughts and prayers.”
Dr Goodwin was elected as the member for Pembrooke in 2009.
She took on the role of Attorney-General after the state election in 2014.
