Update:
Three long-time Engadine friends are planning a trip away together to celebrate winning $1 million in Monday Lotto.
The retired women confessed they were still stunned after discovering the numbers they had been playing for years had finally delivered them a division one win.
The trio received the happy news this afternoon after hearing news about an unregistered winning ticket in Engadine.
“It’s absolutely amazing!” one of the winners exclaimed while her friends laughed in the background.
“You can tell we’re all a little excited! My two friends rang me all excited as I had the ticket. I thought it was Monday and the draw hadn’t even been drawn yet.
“We’ve had these same numbers for many years. We’re all very excited.”
While the ladies are planning a trip away together to mark their million-dollar windfall, they were also going to start celebrating immediately with some drinks.
“We’re going to have a quick drink now to settle our nerves! It’s absolutely wonderful. We’re going to start celebrating right now!”
The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their division one winning entry from Engadine Central Newsagency.
Engadine Central Newsagency owner Hui Shen said the outlet was celebrating selling its first division one entry since he bought it in 2014.
“Hopefully it’s the first of many for our customers – particularly with the $50 million Powerball draw on Thursday,” he said.
“Congratulations to the winners. We’re so happy some of our customers have won the big prize and wish them all the very best with their win.”

It comes after new figures show that Sylvania is one of the state’s hotspots for instant scratch-it wins over the past 12 months.
In the past year two major prizes have been won including one of $260,000.
However, the state’s biggest single prize of $650,000 on a $10 Live the Life Gold ticket, delivered as $2,500 a week for five years, was sold in Cecil Hills.
