It’s been 10 years since the first Christmas in July was held at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre and the popular concert event returns to the Sutherland Entertainment Centre on Saturday, July 15 at 8pm.
Special guest artists at this year’s Christmas in July concert will include Opera Australia’s Soprano, Julie Lea Goodwin who has appeared in Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story and Annie to Carols by Candlelight at the Melbourne Myer Music Bowl and classical roles at the Sydney Opera House.
Patrons will also be treated to award-winning instrumentalist Danny Elliott as he presents Hooked On Classics, a Christmas in July Special.
“This performance from Danny Elliott will include a huge number of different instruments,” Sutherland Shire mayor Carmelo Pesce said.
“This ranges from swing on the clarinet, to the country fiddle and even the didgeridoo.”
During his career Danny Elliott has supported many great performers including Dame Shirley Bassey, The Supremes, and Marina Prior, to name a few. Danny is also a regular on many of the world’s luxury cruise lines.
Kirrawee High School’s Kaleidoscope Choir and The Starlight Orchestra will also be lending their voices to the concert.
