Miranda North Public School will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a big fete.
The fete on Sunday, August 27 will double as a 60th celebration and a major fund raiser, being held at the school grounds from 10am to 3pm.
There will be rides, food and market stalls, games, a silent auction and plenty of memorabilia.
“Everyone loves a birthday celebration,” principal Susan Orlovich said.
“It has been many months in the planning and the students, their teachers, together with mums, dads and carers have been preparing stalls, activities and delicious treats for the day.
“We encourage the community to come for a short time or stay for the whole day, catch up with old classmates and enjoy the celebration.”
She said the fete would also help raise funds for the school.
“Proceeds of the fair will support the school’s technology programs and we are hoping for a wonderful turn out of visitors to help us celebrate 60 proud years of public education in the Sutherland Shire.”
