A Sutherland Shire real estate company has raised upwards of $300,000 for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Highland Property Agents, which has offices in Cronulla and Sutherland, held its annual Blue Lunch fund raiser this month at Sydney’s Ivy Ballroom.
The colourful event raised $335,725.
The event has raised a total of $1,059,225 for the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation since it was launched four years ago. This year the funds will be directed towards the Kids Cancer Centre.
More than 480 people representing local businesses attended the lunch and a number of amazing prizes and silent auction items were on offer. Two lucky guests won a brand, new Range Rover Evoque and a unique Penfolds Experience in South Australia for eight people, by purchasing raffle tickets.
Comedian Tom Gleeson was the MC for the event and The Groove Academy was the featured band.
“This year’s the Blue Lunch has been the highlight of my career so far,” Highland Property Agents chief executive David Highland said.
“Being able to use our profile and bring together the community to raise funds for such a worthy cause is something we are extremely proud of.”
Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick cares for more than 61,500 sick and injured children every year and the foundation provides support by contributing vital funding.
