Fresh from providing support for John Farnham and Hanson, Jason Singh is back on the road and heading to the shire.
Singh, an original member of Australian band Taxiride, will play the Brass Monkey, Cronulla on October 20 where he will showcase the best of his stellar career.
The singer-songwriter started the year with Taxiride as part of their sold out Red Hot Summer 20th anniversary tour.
Then followed his solo support for Australian music legend Farnham in February before joining multi-Grammy nominated pop-rock trio Hanson as part of their sold out Middle of Everywhere world tour.
And Singh has no intention of slowing down.
Always writing, and with a new mantra of “be completely vulnerable”, Singh’s new music planned for this year sees a departure from the power synth pop of his Jason Singh Project and takes a leap into the adult contemporary space, offering both modern sophistication and edge.
“I want to be right where I am,” he said.
“Right where I’m standing, in my music and in my life.”
Taxiride, who won an ARIA in 1999 for breakthrough artist – single, had two consecutive number one platinum-selling albums. The band have had nine top 40 singles include top five hits Get Set, Everywhere You Go and the most played song on Australian radio in 2002, Creepin’ Up Slowly.
The band established themselves as one of Australia’s premier live bands playing countless sold out shows before touring the world, including support for Tina Turner across Europe with two sold out shows at Wembley Stadium.
As a solo artist, Singh has had two top 10 ARIA club hits with The World As You Know It and One World.
Singh released his highly anticipated solo album Humannequin in 2013, produced by legendary Australian producer Charles Fisher.
