A seven-year-old girl was taken to hospital after being pulled from the water at Wattamolla, in Royal National Park, on Christmas Day.
Emergency services were called to Wattamolla beach about 12.45pm after a bystander pulled the girl out of the water and performed first aid on her, a spokeswoman for NSW police said.
She was taken to St George Hospital by ambulance.
The police spokeswoman said it was understood the girl was conscious and breathing when emergency services arrived.
