Re the article ‘‘Sharks women left out’’ (Leader, March 28).
This is a travesty and a disgraceful decision.
The Cronulla Sharks have been at the forefront of Womens Rugby League for several years.
They have pioneered a ladies competition at Southern Cross Group Stadium and provided the backbone of the Australian Womens national side (like Ruan Sims, pictured left), the World Cup holders.
That they could be excluded is an outstanding blunder and a slap in the face of the hard working coaches players and administrators.
Aussies like a fair go and this stinks.

The Cronulla Sharks club has done more than most other clubs to promote women’s rugby league but have missed out in participating.
I think most Cronulla supporters were expecting to have a team to support and are similarly bitterly disappointed.
I know this was due to the NRL’s financial circumstances but in the meantime I will not be supporting any women’s game until this is rectified.
I am urging all Cronulla supporters to follow suit.

Orchestra praise
A wonderful performance from the Sutherland Shire Symphony Orchestra playing with new life and enthusiasm.
Thank you Dr Clarke for your faith in this loyal group and encouraging young talent.
To members of the audience, please bring a friend to the next concert.
Let’s swell the numbers and show our orchestra how much we appreciate their dedication and love of sharing music.
Thank you also to Sutherland Shire Council for improving the appearance of the Entertainment Centre.
So bright and cheerful - money well spent.
