Carjacking by man with firearm at Narwee

Investigations are underway after a man was carjacked and assaulted at Narwee overnight.

Shortly before 9.30pm last night, a 50-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle eating dinner on Mercury Street.

An unknown man has approached the driver’s side window and threatened him with a firearm before demanding he leave the vehicle.

The man complied with the demand, and the man drove off in the car with three other men. They were last seen turning right onto Broadarrow Road.

Officers from St George Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The car is described as being a silver 2001 Toyota Aurion with NSW registration BV11NW.
