Leaky roof came as a surprise
Re: "Kogarah Library to get new $300k roof" (Leader, May 2).
I recall awards being handed out for the innovative design of the Kogarah Town Square, which included solar panels on the library roof.
So it comes as a surprise that the roof continually leaked, and taking almost a decade to repair, which doesn’t say much for the former Kogarah Council’s certification process, or the time it takes for the regulatory building insurance process to make restoration, which I’m personally familiar and unimpressed with.
