The council plants these trees that grow up to be massive trees in our streets and parks.
As for the streets, Ausgrid comes along, cuts the middle out of the trees, then all the foilage grows on the existing branches, which get heavier and heavier
A prime example is Danebank School in Hurstville. Ausgrid has crucified the trees around the school. By cutting the middle out.
As the branches become heavier, and start falling from the pressure, some poor child from Danebank school could seriously injured or killed.
Who is responsible? The council or Ausgrid? Why can’t the council plant trees that only grow to a maximum of 3 metres?
When I walk around the Hurstville area, I walk on the opposite side of the road for my safety.
Also the branches overhand the roads, and could fall onto a car, smashing through the windscreen.
So the question is - who is responsible - the council or Ausgrid, if a child is injured or killed, or a person driving along the road gets injured?
In my opinion, it is only a matter of time, before an accident happens.
