Georges River Council’s library and customer service facilities will be open on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.
Between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Monday, June 11 it will be business as usual, with customers able to visit the libraries in Hurstville and Kogarah and access Council’s customer service team at Kogarah Library and Service Centre.
This is the first time in the Georges River area that library and customer service facilities will be open on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday.
The trial aims to gauge the community’s response to using libraries and customer service on public holidays, with the potential of having these services available on future public holidays.
Hurstville Library and Service Centre is located at the corner of Queens Road and Dora Street, Hurstville, and Kogarah Library and Service Centre is located at Kogarah Town Square, Belgrave Street, Kogarah.
Georges River Civic Centre in Hurstville will be closed on Monday, June 11.
Oatley Library will be open 10am to 1pm Saturday, June 9.
Penshurst Library will be open 9.30am to 4pm Saturday, June 9 and 2pm to 5pm Sunday, June 10.
South Hurstville Library will open 10am to 1pm Saturday, June 9.
Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, June 12.
