Residents over 65 who want to continue living independently at home can learn about all the latest services that can help them achieve their goal when the St George Aged Care Expo returns to Rockdale Town Hall on Thursday August 30.
The Expo will present information about the many community services and help-at-home activities available for residents.
House cleaning services, nursing care, personal care, transport, meal preparation, shopping services, home modification and social support will all be represented.
The expo is aimed at people over 65, their carers, indigenous Australians over 50, people from a cultural and linguistically diverse background and those who want to continue living independently at home.
There will also be information on carer support and respite services.
Organisations involved include St George Meals on Wheels, Multicultural Care, Kogarah Community Services, Rockdale Community Services, Hammond Care, Advance Diversity Services, the Benevolent Society, Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre, Home Instead Community Care and St George Community Transport.
The day is hosted by Sydney Community Forum and will include light refreshments, cultural performances and lucky door prizes.
The expo is a free event and no bookings are necessary.
The St George Aged Care Expo will be held at Rockdale Town Hall, 448 Princess Highway, Rockdale, on Thursday, August 30 from from 9.30am to 1pm.
