A serious music festival hit wherever they go because of their fierce modern blues, psyche rock ‘n’ funk, Z-Star Trinity promise to deliver the same experience at their Cronulla gig on August 22.
Z-Star is the basis of a kaleidoscope of music projects by frontwoman, singer/songwriter, drummer, guitarist and producer Zee Gachette.
Gachette recently told music website echo.net.au that she keeps on creating and developing new sounds and projects to flex her musical muscles but nothing beats the experience of a live gig.
‘‘I truly love what I do, smashing the drums, going wild on the guitar, bursting a lung,’’ Gazette said.
‘‘The whole catharsis of performing is like a golden goblet overflowing with the most intoxicating wine.
‘‘I suppose when it feels this free you just want more; even on a bad day I can turn it around and have a great time.
‘‘It’s survival, it’s raw, it’s primal, it’s live and electric and when I’m onstage I feel it literally bursting out of me and I just want to charge like a beast!’’
Gachette and her new trio line-up have been setting stages alight around the country with their high octane powerful live shows.
Z-Star – featuring Gachette, Beck Flatt (The Red Paintings, Hussy Hicks) on drums, and Boi Crompton (Cat Stevens) on bass – are in the middle of a five-month national tour.
You can catch them at the Brass Monkey in Cronulla on Wednesday, August 22
