A theatre piece which explores critical and analytical thinking will have its premiere at the 2018 Sydney Fringe Festival next month.
Illuminated, produced by Sutherland Shire based Moontan Productions, will debut at the festival on September 11 at Erskinville.
The production is Amelia Gilday’s second Sydney Fringe show under the Moontan banner.
“Illuminated delves into what it is to have an original thought,” said Gilday who curates the performance.
“The piece is designed to be immersive, interactive, and a fun night out.”
The shire artist’s most recent work includes writing, directing, and producing short film Girls Pty Ltd which recently premiered at Seoul International Kids Festival.
Gilday has also written, directed and produced the award winning web series License to Succeed, and directed the comedy musical HMS Headwind.
Gilday is currently producing the TV series The LGBT Travel Guide.
Alex Fenner, who is also based in the shire and works predominantly as an actor, is assistant producer and writer for Illuminated.
Sean Bermingham, Laura Bailey, Alicia Badger and Sarah Green are also part of the Illuminated cast.
Illuminated will premiere at the Sydney Fringe Festival on Tuesday, September 11 at 7pm at The Emerging Artists Hub, 104 Erskineville Road, Erskineville, then nightly until September 15.
