The Surf Lifesaving ‘Nipper’ is all about learning important surf skills while having fun on the beach and creating lifesavers of the future.
Wanda Surf Lifesaving Club is holding a Nippers Open Day this Sunday for ages u6 to u14’s for the local community to come down to Wanda Beach and be informed about beach safety and surf awareness, patrols and Nipper activities.
This is a community event to educate the public and give the kids a taste of what they will learn at Nippers with how to be surf aware and beach safe.
Wanda is a competitive club with a water program coached by Star Academy featuring Iron Man Nathan Smith and a beach program coached by Jock Athletic with renowned trainers Jock Campbell and Peter Hadfield.
With the easiest parking of the four Bate Bay Surf Clubs a free rashie is supplied to every registered ‘Bluebottle’ Nipper and the NSW Government Active Kids voucher may be used for registration.
It is on this Sunday 9th September from 11am – 2pm. At Wanda Surf Club,with the Nipper season starting on October the 14th.
