Re the article ‘‘Popular GP, Dr Joan Asher dies aged 92’’ (Leader, September 5).
Vale, Dr Joan Asher, who faithfully served Bexley as a GP for 61 years.
Like fellow Bexley GP's William Simmons (my grandfather) and Mary Stuart who practised for 47 and 67 years respectively, she was renowned for her high level of dedication to generations of patients.

Sad to hear the news of Dr Asher’s passing. She was GP to me, mum and the kids for nearly 50 years.
We enjoyed a few nice trips out after her retirement. She will be missed by many.

Truly grateful for the dedication, care and service provided to my 3 daughters and myself over the years. Rest in peace Dr Asher.

A very good neighbour and friend while we moved next door in 2013.
Still very appreciative of her niece who lets us use her backyard for general use.
My daughter is very sad as Dr Asher used to give us lift to the school somedays.
Will miss her dearly.

Dr Asher was straight to the point. No messing around with her. She was the 1st lady Dr I went to.

Dr Asher wa a customer of mine for many years at the bank. A lovely person, never wanted to chat much but I managed to get a conversation going.
