Police are seeking public assistance to find a man who allegedly filmed up a woman’s skirt after alighting from a Cronulla train.
They released a photo of the man they wish to talk to about the alleged incident at Redfern station a month ago.
A police statement said the train was “from Woolooware”. It was not clear whether the man or woman, or both, boarded at that station.
“Police investigating an alleged upskirting incident at Redfern are appealing for public information to help identify a man that may be able to assist,” the statement said.
”About 12.30pm on Friday, September 7, a man got off a train from Woolooware at Redfern Railway Station and walked onto the escalators directly behind a woman.
“The man allegedly began filming up her skirt.
“Officers from Redfern Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.
“As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man that may be able to assist with inquiries.
“He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 183cm tall, aged in his 30s or 40s, with short facial hair.”
